Product Application
There are several alternative ways to apply OSR depending on the job at hand. Following are the basic steps for severe odor removal. Dilute 6.5 oz. OSR-XG into each gallon of water. That’s one full 112 oz. Container into 20 gallons of water. Mix with water that is “tap water hot” (110 to 120 degrees).
Recommended Basic Method:
- Remove contaminated carpet. Remove and destroy contaminated padding.
- Using a pump-up sprayer, seal floor and tackless strip with Pro's Choice Odor Barrier.
- Cover sealed area with 6 mil plastic sheeting.
- Lay carpet onto sheeting.
- Saturate carpet with Pro's Choice OSR solution.
- Allow 30 minutes of dwell time.
- Extract solution from carpet.
- Check carpet for odor and repeat steps 5-8 if needed.
- Install new pad over sheeting.
- Re-install carpet.
